Visit the basilica – 1 hour.

Walk to Hungarian Parliament Building (Országház) – 800m.
Continue ahead on Szent István tér and then turn right on Sas utca. Walk 300m till you reach Liberty Square (Szabadság tér). Cross it and then take Vécsey utca. Walk 180m till you see the building in front of you.

See the building from outside – 30min.

Walk to Széchenyi István square and Gresham palace – 720m.
Take a walk along the river. Walk 720m till you reach the Chain Bridge. The Széchenyi István square and Gresham palace are on the Pest end of Chain Bridge.

Széchenyi István square (Széchenyi István tér) and Gresham palace
See the square and the building from outside – 15min.

12:00 PM – 02:00 PM
Lunch time – 2 hours. You can try: “Cserpes Tejivó” or “Castro Bistro”.

How to get to Cserpes Tejivó?
Take József Attila utca. Walk 250m till you reach Erzsébet square (Erzsébet tér). Turn right and cross the square. Then continue ahead on Deák Ferenc square (Deák Ferenc tér). Take Sütő utca. How to get to Castro Bistro?
Take József Attila utca. Walk 250m till you reach Erzsébet square (Erzsébet tér). Turn right and cross the square. Take Károly körút. Walk 160m and when you reach Madách Imre Square (Madách Imre tér) turn left. Walk 70m till you see the restaurant in front of you. Cross the bridge – 15min.

Take Színház utca. Walk 250m till you reach Dísz tér. Cross the square and continue ahead on Tárnok utca. Walk 300m till you see the column in front of you.

Matthias Church (Mátyás-templom)
