Sozopol through my lens

Sozopol through my lens

Sozopol is one of my favourite seaside towns in Bulgaria. It is a small town with a very old history and beautiful beaches. I used to go there every summer. The ancient ruins, standing next to little wooden houses, create a unique atmosphere. I can still remember the after dinner walks in the Old Town. The cobbled streets, the locals that sell fig jam in front of their houses, the seagulls’ caws, all that peace have sealed deeply in my mind. In the photo essay below I gathered some photos from my trips to Sozopol.

You can still see a small part of the ancient wall nowadays. There is an interesting museum called South Fortress Wall and Tower Museum Complex with a symbolic entrance fee. The entrance is just before the tower.

The perfect spot to watch the sunset and to take photos is the Sozopol Harbour.

Cats are another reason why I love this town so much. Every walk on the streets of Sozopol includes a lot of meetings with roaming cats. These little cute creatures have occupied the whole Old Town. So if you are a cat lover, this is your place. This orange cat below is one of my favourites. I used to see it every summer. Apparently its favourite thing is sleeping over cars as you can see from the photos below.
